I am very pleased with my purchase, and I expect that there will certainly be another lamp in the future. But I also take the lamp with me if I want to stay on the balcony or in the bathroom. This allows me to take it with me outside my home when I'm chilling with friends in the park until late at night. And in the event of an alarm, all lights flash red, which is ideal! Furthermore, it is easy that the lamp can also be operated stand-alone via bluetooth.
#HUE GO LIGHTS HOW TO#
Here’s how to set up your Philips Hue lights using the new Philips Hue app. Start controlling your go directly straight out. It’s one of the first steps in turning your house into a smarthome of the future. Introducing the new Philips Hue Go 2.0 - its now easier than ever to get started with smart home lighting. In addition, my lighting also switches off automatically when the alarm is switched on (Home safety). Philips Hue is a really cool Wi-Fi-enabled lighting system that allows you to turn on and off your lights right from your smartphone (or from other smarthome-controlling devices, like the Amazon Echo). "Hey Google, turn on the light" and my lights respond. From a splash of colour to a mood-setting centrepiece, the Hue Go lets you set the perfect ambience.

The integration with Google Home (via Sonos) is ideal. Take smart light with you with the portable Hue Go. I personally prefer the scenes composed by Philips, where I adjust the brightness of my lamps myself. Even extract colors from a self-chosen photo, the possibilities are endless. you get to work with scenes, different color tones. You connect this device to your Hue bridge, give it a name and then group the lamp in one of your rooms. Plug in the socket and start the Hue app. The app also doesn’t support non-colored bulbs, which makes sense, but it’d be great if there was at least some kind support for all Hue lights.Unpack and go! The product comes in a nice box and is properly packaged. Unfortunately, when you’re finished using Hue Sync and close it out, your Hue lights won’t go back to the state they were in before you fired up the app, so you’ll need to go in and manually switch back your lights to how they were. However, if you’re playing a video of some kind, you’ll want to make sure it’s in full-screen mode so that Hue Sync isn’t picking up colors from your desktop or other windows.

So you don’t necessarily need to be playing a game or watching a movie for your lights to sync. The “Music” mode also lets you select from a handful of color palettes.Īs far as the lights syncing to games and videos, it’s actually nothing more than matching whatever colors are displayed on your monitor (and, optionally using audio to determine some of the effects). They provide buttons that let you set the intensity of the lights (i.e., how dramatic the color changes are). The other three buttons (Games, Music, and Video) work much basically the same. Fire it up, and then click the “Search for Bridge” button.

To get started with that, download and install the app as usual (the process is the same as any other app). Your entertainment area has been created and you can now move onto setting up the Hue Sync app on your Mac or PC. Setting up a light strip behind your TV or using Hue go pointed up the wall either side are great ways to create stunning effects when watching a movie or playing a game on the Playstation.
